A Nigerian student who turned up with others for the Chevron scholarship exam in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, reportedly fainted during the exam.
Instagram user @shere_sayray who shared the report, disclosed that students were crammed and standing at the gate for hours while some had to sit on the floor. It was further that the lucky few who wrote the computer based test, said there were lots of faulty computers.

Chevron scholarship exam slated for today 1st September by 9am and 11am respectively went awry. Students were crammed and standing at the gate for hours. Some had to sit on the floor like me. There was no explanation from the organisers and no apology. The lucky few who wrote the computer based test said there were lots of faulty computers. At an ICT training centre! THE IRONY! Immediately a girl fainted I ran out of there and even then no one came to assist. People from other Niger delta states have no other option they have to sit it out but as for me i left there by 4pm. I wasted my day. This is Nigeria look how we are treating our future
Few months ago, it was also reported that there was pandemonium as a female candidate fainted during the post-UTME exercise of the University of Lagos (UNILAG). The Cable reported that the prospective student identified as Sharon Adenekan, was taken to the school's health centre after slumping as a result of exhaustion.
Prospective students of the school who partook in the exercise lamented that it was fraught with disorderliness and that they were kept waiting for hours in inclement conditions. The post-UTME exercise, which was still ongoing around 8:30pm, was held at the school's Distance Learning Centre and the ETC Test Centre. The exercise was conducted in batches. Candidates lamented that the exercise was not orderly. Others said they were made to sit in halls for several hours before writing their tests.
