Duncan receives memorial scholarship for 2nd year

Staff reportA former standout on the Sterling High School wrestling team is continuing his success at the collegiate level.
Colby Duncan has been selected for the Coach and Marilyn Smith Wrestling Scholarship for the second consecutive year. Duncan is now wrestling for Western State Colorado University, where he "has continued to distinguish himself in his wrestling career," according to a press release announcing the scholarship award.
The scholarship is named for National Hall of Fame Wrestling coach Bob Smith and his late wife, Marilyn, who provided Bob's outstanding coaching career with unwavering support. It is awarded to either a male or female who has shown outstanding participation and/or support for the sport of wrestling during their high school and collegiate career.
