Area youth have received both state and national FFA scholarships.
The state scholarships, announced at the April 8 state convention, went to:
- Grant Hamilton of Hitchcock-Tulare received a $500 Bayer scholarship.
- Danielle Houghtaling of Doland received a $500 Twin Cities Regional Northland Ford scholarship.
- Cole Nafziger of Gettysburg and Kadin LaBrie of Doland received $500 Agtegra scholarships.
- Peter Rausch of Hoven received the Ernie Wingen scholarship. The amount for this scholarship was not listed.
Area students who received national scholarships are:
- Doland student Danielle Houghtaling. She received a $1,500 America's Farmers Grow Ag Leaders scholarship.
- Hitchcock-Tulare student Grant Hamilton. He received a $1,000 scholarship from FFA Cooperative Credit Company and a $1,500 scholarship from America's Farmers Grow Ag Leaders.
- Northwestern student Sadie Vander Wal. She received a $1,500 America's Farmers Grow Ag Leaders scholarship.
- Northwestern student Jarret Haven. He received a $1,500 America's Farmers Grow Ag Leaders scholarship.
