Kayla Terhaar, Osseo resident and current student at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic School in Brooklyn Park, is the recipient of a $2,500 Totino-Grace High School academic scholarship for incoming students from the class of 2023.
To be considered for this scholarship, incoming ninth grade students were required to take the High School Placement Test (HSPT) at Totino-Grace in January. The HSPT is an entrance exam that includes five sections with nearly 300 questions. This exam is taken by students seeking admission to private and parochial high schools. Kayla had the top math HSPT exam score among all female students who tested.
Kayla was presented with the scholarship at an awards ceremony at Totino-Grace on April 15.
Totino-Grace awards $100,000 in academic and leadership scholarships annually to incoming ninth grade students.
Totino-Grace High School in Fridley, is an Archdiocesan co-educational Catholic high school in the Lasallian tradition.
