SALEM, NH -The Rotary Club of Greater Salem is accepting scholarship applications from graduating high school students who have demonstrated community service during their school years. Five scholarships, each in the amount of $1,000, will be awarded to high school students who live in Salem, Windham, Hampstead, Atkinson or Pelham. The deadline to apply is Friday, May 3.
The scholarships will be awarded to students who best exemplify the Rotary's motto: "Service Above Self." To apply, students must complete an application and attach a 250-word essay that describes their community service. Students should also provide up to three references of people who are familiar with that student's involvement in the community.
