1 Who was Rudolph Jenkins?
"Rudy Jenkins was a long-time leader of the Alpha Phi Alpha fraternity. He had a long career as head of the Bureau of Indian Affairs. He was a proponent of youth and youth opportunities to excel."
2 Who will the guest speaker be?
"Lonnie Barker. He is a product of Muskogee currently residing in Texas. He was an athlete in Muskogee, went to college on a wrestling scholarship. He is a motivational speaker. He comes to Muskogee to have programs and seminars to encourage our youth."
3 What is the scholarship about?
"We generally award two or more scholarships to high school seniors who have filled out the scholarship form, who have excelled scholastically as well as being involved in community service projects in their spare time. This year, we are going to award two $500 scholarships. We had nine applicants."
4 What is the Beta Chi Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha?
"We are in Muskogee to carry out the aims of the fraternity, which are humanity, scholarship and love for all mankind. We try to gear our activities toward community involvement, community issues, youth."
5 How else can people support the scholarship?
"They can make tax-deductible donations if they prefer. Whoever would wish to make a donation, they could make it to the scholarship fund."
