The Monongahela Rotary Club is seeking applications from graduating seniors of Ringgold High School for two of its annual scholarship awards. The award for seniors pursing a bachelor's degree is valued at $2,000 and the award for seniors pursuing an associate's degree/certificate/license is valued at $1,000.
Criteria for the scholarship awards include a combination of ability, performance, community service, school activities and more. Students who are active members of the Ringgold Interact Club are given special consideration in the review process, as are students who are experiencing an unusual personal or family hardship.
To be considered, students must email a completed application to MonongahelaRotary@gmail.com. The application requires the student to prepare a written narrative detailing their reasoning for selecting their intended course of study and describing their future career goals. Students may access the application at https://rotarymonongahelapa.org/. Applications are due May 1 and the awards will be announced before the end of May.
